So you feel it’s time to upgrade you HTC One M8 but you can’t just leave your HTC One. You’re in luck as the HTC One M9 is available on the Verizon Wireless Network. Is it worth the upgrade? Lets take a look at what we have and see if it’s a good fit for you.

Lets start out with the fact that the HTC One M9 is on the Largest 4G LTE Network around. Not only that, but they are the first US Carrier to allow wireless roaming in Cuba. Now lets see the phone.

The M9 has a 5 inch S-LCD3 Screen. This screen features 441 Pixels Per Inch which is more than both the iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus.  This gives you crystal clear video viewing and makes watching your home video’s  a pleasure. The resolution of the screen is 1080 x 1920. This is once again greater than the iPhone 6S but slightly larger that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

One of my favorite features of both the M8 and M9 is the front facing speakers that feature Dolby Surround Sound. These speakers make it very easy to listen to and you don’t have to worry about trying to cup your hand around the bottom of the phone to try to hear what you are watching. The sound is very clear and does make it enjoyable to use your phone to watch a full length movie or TV show.

Now since we know you don’t want to have the movie you saved on  your phone lagging while your watching it, The HTC One M9 has a Octa Core Snapdragon Processor. This not only keeps you running lag free during movie and video watching as well as gaming, but also helps increase the battery life of the phone. In fact, HTC says that you can get up to 14 days standby and 20 hours of usage. While I never acheived those numbers during testing, I did get about 6 hours of use from the M9. I do need to say though that I have very heavy game usage as well as lots of internet time.  So my results will be less than normal. There is also 3GB of built in memory to keep your phone at the top of the game.

For storing your photo’s and video’s the M9 has 32GB of built-in storage with a MicroSD slot that is capable of MicroSD card’s up to 200GB. This should be plenty for your movies and video’s.

So you want to fill your phone with home movies and pictures. The HTC One M9 is great for that as the phone includes a 20 MP with a Sapphire glass lens that helps keep your screen from getting scratched and your pictures flawless. The camera has a F2.2 aperture with focal length  equivalent to the  picture quality of 35 mm film. Some of the features included with the phone are HDR Shot, Digital Zoom, Digital Image stabilization, Shutter Control, Panoramic Shot, Burst Shot, RAW Image Shot and Night Mode.

Not one to forget the front facing camera, it is 4 MP and works well for video conference as well as just talking to your kids.

Talking is also one of the things the M9 does great on the Verizon Network as the M9 is compatible with their Advanced Calling with lets you use your phone with HD Voice and Video Calling. This gives you the greatest call and video clarity imaginable from a cell phone.

One thing that I liked most about the HTC One M9 is the durability of the phone itself. I was using it in my garage one day for music while working on my vehicle. When I went to grab the phone out of the holder, I forgot it was plugged in and the phone dropped and slammed off the side of my toolbox. I fully expected to have a shattered screen. To my surprise, the phone was dented right to the edge of the screen, but not a single crack or chip from the Gorilla Glass screen.

The M9 from Verizon Wireless will set you back $27.00 a month or $648.00 outright.  make sure you check out this and all the other great phones that Verizon Wireless has to offer. While your there, make sure you get the right sized data plan that you need to keep your family filled with data all year month long.
